Hi, I'm Vic and I'm an addict. I first found Earth Group in 2000, when I also found the face to face meetings of NA. I wanted both online and local recovery. And I found a home here! I became Greeter, then Group Coordinator here and that service was one of the most rewarding things I've done. But at some point, I allowed my disease to take me back out of the rooms where I had first found so much serenity.
A decade after first learning the Twelve Steps, I returned and was welcomed with open arms. This time, I'm sticking with the program, and have learned so much more than I every thought possible. One of the things I do differently now is a drastic move away from people, places and things that endanger the clean time I'm putting together again. In my new home outside Atlanta, I celebrated one year clean, and I've never been so content living life on life's terms.
It is a privilege to serve Earth Group again - this time as Topic Person. I have the honor of writing a topic each week for the eMeeting. The Topic, always based on approved NA literature, is available for you to ponder in our Forum and now on the website itself.
I can't tell you how humbled I am to give back to the Group I love so much. I look forward to reading your own contributions. I need you, the group needs you, and YOU need you. Explore what online recovery offers to you, and how you can get involved. The recovery available to you is, as I've found out the hard way, just within your reach. All you have to do is ask.
